MITS Pathways

Serina hard at work back home in Ramingining

During this unusual Term 2 our MITS Alumni have been engaging with remote learning through online classes as well as some hard-copy learning packs - thanks to Paddy for supporting the delivery of laptops, iPads and work packs!

Our young people have been welcomed by local community schools so they are able to access their online classes and we are very grateful for this. Some students are working from home, some from the local clinic and some from their parents workplaces, and we are really proud of the way they are staying connected to their education, with plenty of technology difficulties thrown in the way!

They have also enjoyed spending quality time with family, fishing, hunting and for our Northern Territory students, soaking up the beautiful dry season weather.

MITS alumni are starting to return to Melbourne - the Wellington Street house has 4 out of 6 girls back this week and the remaining 2 are booked to return next week on 3rd June. Trinity Grammar have booked all 3 Northern Territory boys to fly back to Melbourne today, on Friday 29th May. We are so excited to welcome them back.

Partner schools, host families and all of us at MITS are missing the students, and looking forward to Term 3 when everyone can be back!
