                            VISUAL ARTS

 "BACK to SCHOOL and MOVING FORWARD for the REST of the YEAR."

This was the theme in Visual Arts for each class, in their first week back at school.

 Students in each class created their own styled portrait to add to a (theme) class banner. 

They look fabulous!

STEAM

It has been wonderful to have all students back at school for STEAM classes!  

Junior school students have been designing their own truly magnificent broom sticks after reading "Room on the Broom" by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.  What would you want to have room for on a broom stick?

Students have also been investigating symmetry.  It's a very tricky thing to try to exactly replicate the other half of a picture but it has been great to see everyone trying so hard to get their lines and shapes just right.
