Your beautiful and amazing kids!

Hello lovely Weeden Heights families,

It has been so wonderful getting to meet and spend time with all of your children since school has resumed. Your children are all so amazing! What a great bunch of kids!

I’ve been wondering how all of you are feeling about your kids finally being back at school? It’s such a mixed bag of emotions! One moment we're isolated together schooling from home, learning new things, spending so much quality time together, and then we were all back into the swing of school and work routines. Whether we loved it or not, change can leave us feeling unsettled.

If you feel that your children are struggling being back at school, please don't hesitate to encourage your children to come visit me in my office (the reading room opposite the 2/3 classroom) if they're needing to chat about how they're feeling. I am so happy to have them visit.

Something fun to do from time to time, especially if you feel that you would like to add a little something to brighten or encourage your young people during the day when you can't see them, is add a little lunch box 'love note' to help to lift their mood. My kids still remember their primary school notes that I left in their lunch boxes... and I honestly didn't do them as often as would have liked! But they remember them...because when they received them, they knew that I loved them and was thinking about them in my day.

I've attached some ideas below. I just found these on Pinterest.

I hope you all have a fabulous week. And thank you for all the incredible parenting...your children are just lovely.

Blessings,

Kathryn
