SAKG

This week kitchen we welcomed back the year 3’s and 4’s for their first on site session at school!  It was so wonderful to see you all and to be able to cook altogether once again.

This session was based around herbs and spices and we cooked, spiced poach pears with crumble, “Wattaka Kalu Pol” (Pumpkin curry) and carrot and cumin fritters.  We explored the differences between herbs and spices and how they are grown.  The kitchen smelt very aromatic and the end results were very delicious.

In the garden, the Years  3 and 4 dodged the rain and were able to attend to some much needed weeding throughout our Jerusalem artichoke bed.  We cannot wait to harvest those throughout next term!

Next week, we have the grades 5/6M and 5/6A for their final sessions for the year, we look forward to sharing a very special final class together.
