CELEBRATING OUR FAITH
1/2S Prayer Celebration
This Friday 31 May, the 1/2S class will be leading the Infants Prayer Celebration at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 9:30am.
May 31 is the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to her cousin Elizabeth. Mary went to visit her cousin shortly after the Annunciation, the announcement that she was going to be the Mother of God.
All parents, family members and friends are warmly invited to attend the Infants Prayer Celebration on Friday at 9:30am.
National Reconciliation Week - 27 May to 2 June.
Yesterday, Holy Trinity staff and students came together to remember, pay respect and acknowledge our Aboriginal friends, both past and present. National Reconciliation Week is a time to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
We would like to thanks especially Uncle Kelvin for joining us to give the Welcome to Country and speak to us about Reconciliation.
At the end of the liturgy, students were given a flower, which had been previously coloured, to go and plant in the garden beds at the front of the school to create a Madja or Sorry Garden.
Reconciliation and
First Holy Communion
A few families have been enquiring about the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. First Holy Communion for Catholic students in Year 3 (or older if they previously missed the sacrament), will be held on Sunday 25 August at 9am at Sacred Heart Church. Further information will be sent home about this in the coming weeks.
