Premier's Reading Challenge
Many children are already busy reading books for the PRC. It is not too late to collect a checklist from Miss Clare to fill out the books you have read!
To meet the challenge you need to read the following numbers of books:
Prep – Year 2: 30 books (20 or more from the list to be read or experienced with families)
Year 3 – Year 6: 15 books (10 or more from the list)
Library Club
The Library will be open each Wednesday for half of lunchtime. We would love to listen to children read and have a chat about the books they are reading. It would be great for the children to bring the book they are currently reading or we could suggest some books. There will also be lego, mindful colouring and drawing available.

Government Secondary Schools
Please note the following important information regarding this year’s process for Years 6 to 7 transitions to government secondary schools.
Resources
The Application for Year 7 Placement 2020 form is now available to be downloaded from the Department of Education and Training website: Moving from primary to secondary schools: information for parents<https://www.education.vic.gov.au/parents/going-to-school/Pages/year-6-to-7.aspx>. Please refer to Moving from a private primary school to a government secondary school.
Parents can now locate their local government secondary school or preferred schools at the new findmyschool.vic.gov.au<https://www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au/>, which is the single source of truth for government school zones in 2020.
Process
Parents of students at non-government primary schools wishing to enrol their child into Year 7 at a government secondary school in 2020 are required to complete the Year 7 Application Form (coming from non-public primary)<https://www.education.vic.gov.au/Documents/parents/application-year-7-placement-non-public.docx> and return it to their preferred secondary school by Friday 17 May 2019.
Year 7 placements are determined by the government secondary school where the parents have sought enrolment. Parents will be notified of an outcome on Wednesday 7 August.
