WALKATHON 2017

House lap results

Blue 55 students ran a total of 1,002 laps

Gold 54 students ran a total of 1041 laps

Green 56 students ran a total of 962 laps

Red 62 students ran a total of 1,096 laps

A grand total of 4101 laps.

183 more laps than last year (3,918) and 373 more laps than in 2016 (3,728).

Given the difference in the number students representing each house, it’s interesting to look at the average laps per person per house. Slightly different results when looked at this way;

Gold 19 laps/child

Blue 18 laps/child

Red 18 laps/child

Green 17 laps/child

Working on 3 laps equals 1 km, that’s an amazing 1,367 km.

The perimeter of our magnificent MCG is 474m. You guys walked & ran 2,884 laps of the MCG!

Almost 33 Marathons! Fantastic effort.

Special mention to the Preps for completing their first Walkathon and averaging of just almost 16 laps per preppie – awesome effort! And thank you to the wonderful Grade 6 kids who provided much encouragement to the preps.

St James staff. Also a big thank you to all the parents who assisted on the day. It was one of the largest parent helper turn outs we’ve had and it made for a fabulous day for all the kids.
