Prayer of Blessing For Our Year 12 Students, that they may with confidence and conviction “Branch Out”
Dear God
We pray this prayer of blessing to You for our Year 12 students as they face the end of their schooling and begin their journey of life beyond this community:
May they always feel the sunshine and take time to taste the rain,
May others be true and caring to them and I hope they are the same;
And in their fleeting passage, leave a little bit behind
For the children who will follow in their footsteps, along the sands of time.
May the wind blow gently through their life, may their principles be strong;
May they stand up and be counted when they work out right from wrong…
May their nights be short and peaceful, may their days be warm and long;
May their music be a service…may others pause sometime and listen to their song
May their eyes be filled with kindness, may the seeds of wisdom grow…
May they seek for truth and beauty and when they find it may they know…
May they help feed those who are hungry, and comfort those who hurt
May they always fight for justice for all of us who walk upon the earth.
Amen
