Sally Dominguez Design Thinking Workshop

Last week Kildare was lucky enough to host International designer Sally Dominguez,  a multi-award-winning Inventor, Adventurer, Journalist and Educator. Sally has unique experience practising, observing, teaching and advocating for innovation. She is currently also working with NASA's Ames Innovation Lab, CISCO and Mattel. She is also teaching Innovation at Stanford University.

Year 11 Design and Technology and Visual Arts students took part in Sally’s Design Thinking workshop, learning her Adventurous Thinking methodology. Sally has taught Adventurous Thinking as a means to integrate innovation into the Australian school curriculum. More of Sally’s work can be seen found here:

Creative Arts and Technology and Applied Studies teachers also had the opportunity to work with Sally for a day. Teachers learnt new approaches to think creatively and gained tools to use in their classroom to encourage students to push the boundaries by thinking creatively.
