Canyoning Excursion

On the 22nd February all Year 11 & 12 2 Unit SLR students went on an excursion to the Macquarie Pass (near Wollongong) to undertake some Canyoning. As the photos illustrate, canyoning is an outdoor adventure sport that involves navigating your way down a creek or river that has a number of natural obstacles including waterfalls, deep pools and boulders. Students navigate their way using a variety of skills to overcome the various challenges including abseiling, jumping, swimming, rock hopping and bush-walking....whilst having plenty of fun in the process!!!
It was one very long day but plenty of fun and success was enjoyed by all
