School Council Rep
It would be fantastic if we could have a parent representative from the Scotsburn Campus to join our School Council. Meetings are once a month on a Monday evening (7pm-9pm). Please contact Shaun is you are interested.
Gr 4 Camp
The Gr 4’s are looking forward to a wonderful time in Anglesea this Thursday/Friday. All students attending will need to meet at the Buninyong Campus at 7.45 am on Thursday morning with their bags and lunch. The bus is scheduled to arrive back at the Buninyong campus by about 3 pm on the Friday.
SC3 Grand Prix
SC3 who have returned permission notes will be attending the Grand Prix Learning Experience on Friday 13th March. All SC3 students will meet at the Buninyong Campus ready to depart Buninyong at
8 am. Staff and students will return by approximately 4pm.
Collaborative Planning Days
The Gr 3 students from the Buninyong Campus will be joining us at Scotsburn on Wednesday 18th March. The Scotsburn students will be joining the Buninyong campus Gr 3’s on Thursday 26th March at the Buninyong campus. Permission notes will be coming home very soon.
Gr 3-6 Athletics Day on Wednesday
The Gr 3-6’s had an amazing time at the sports last week. It was great to see them all participating with such energy and enthusiasm. Special thanks to all of the parents that came along to support.
Back Creek Farm Visit on Friday
Last Friday, the Gr 4-6’s attended Back Creek Farm. This continues the wonderful connection that we have created with the staff and students at Back Creek. The Scotsburn students enjoyed helping the kids at Back Creek on the farm. We look forward to them visiting us again in Term 2.
Spelling Mastery
A big thank you to our parents who have volunteered to be part of our Spelling Mastery Program. We are still looking for helpers on a Friday. If you can spare 25 minutes at 9:00am please let us know. It is very simple and we are more than happy to help and ‘teach’ you the ropes. Your help is very much appreciated!
Being a Parent Helper
With so many wonderful opportunities for parents to be involved with the campus, understanding and being aware of the school’s expectations is important. Please remember that a current Working with Children’s Check is required, with a copy to be given to the Buninyong office and for Shaun to keep on site. A volunteer Working with Children’s Check is free for volunteers and is easy obtain. Please see the Working with Children’s Check Victoria website for more information or to apply and renew your card.

Zooper Doopers
Jackson and Despina will be selling Zooper Doopers this Thursday for $1.
Resources Needed – ASAP
We are looking for clean, empty soft drink bottles as part a sustainability project in our Friday Rotations. All students will be making something and will need a bottle for this project.
Friday Rotations
Unfortunately a date was missed on our schedule for Friday rotations. We have now included our final Friday rotation roster date for the term 20th March below. Thanks so much for your understanding. Our final rotation for Term 1 will be on the 20th March. Our groups will be doing the following
Lunch Order Roster
Lunch orders need to be collected from the Buninyong campus at 12.40 pm. Please ensure you organise a swap if necessary so that the students don’t go hungry!
Specialist Message From Mrs Morgan
Just wanted to show you these AMAZING installations by Michelle Stitzlein http://www.artgrange.com/michellesculpture.html) …aren’t they fabulous!? I really want to make something similar with SC3 this term, and am hoping to make one from natural objects eg interesting seed pods, rocks etc and one more like Michelle’s from super man-made objects such as batteries, records, electrical wires, nuts and bolts, old keyboard letters etc etc. (a broken ukulele might make a great body if there are any out there!) please if you have anything lying around at home that you think would be useful can you please consider donating it to us!? Thanks SO much in advance for anything you can come up with!
