MJFC is always looking for new opportunities in creating better relationships with our members.  Sponsoring an event or MJFC as a whole will assist the club in providing better equipment (ie jumpers, footballs, training equipment) to all our teams. You as a sponsor will gain recognition for your contribution. If you would like further details, please contact Neil McGuiness

 30 June Round 9

Year 7 Red – Ray McManus (Coach), Ren (Team Manager)

Mazenod Red Won 15 to Upper Swan White 20

The team travelled to Swan Athletic on the weekend and played Upper Swan White who were just below us on the ladder. In trying conditions, the boys started well again but were not able to capitalise their dominance on the scoreboard.

Going in to half time there was only two goals difference in our favour.

The boys were encouraged at half time to start playing team football rather than as individuals and this brought about a much better second half, eventually running out five goal winners. From a coach's perspective it is sensational to see this squad develop both individually and as a team.

It was also good to hear the Club Song sung with a lot more enthusiasm in the middle of the oval.

Boys - Enjoy the two weeks off you deserve it!

Year 7 Blue – Michael Ferritto (Coach), Paula (Team Manager)

Mazenod Blue Won 64 to Caversham Orange 3

On a slippery and windy morning the boys worked hard early but were not getting value for their effort by not winning the centre clearances. The defence stood up well and repelled every attack and with good link up play the boys started running and sharing the ball well.

We started getting run from behind and started getting on top of Caversham by using the ball well and got rewarded for our effort with goals on the scoreboard. Our boys did not stop all game and  were able to run out convincing winners and keeping Caversham goalless.

Great work boys and great reward for running and sharing the ball by hand.

Thanks to our great parents and grand parents who volunteered again today. The boys and our coaches really appreciate it! We all look forward to a couple of weeks off and getting all the boys fit and well ready for our next phase of the season.

Year 7 White – Scott Hopkins (Coach), Melissa (Team Manager)

Mazenod White Won 71 to High Wycombe 30

Mazenod Blue Lost 24 to Upper Swan Black 83

Year 8 White – Oscar Buckingham (Coach), Tracey / Josh (Team Managers)

Was a disappointing loss, hopefully the boys will do better next round.

Year 9 White – Mike Mount-Bryson (Coach), Elena (Team Manager)
