What a way to the start the tipping round last Thursday Night with only 11 people out of 120 that tipped Essendon to beat GWS, and it continued to be another disappointing week for most tippers with only 3 people picking seven winners and a further 7 people picking six winners.
This week Tyler Perry (student) was closest to the margin and picks up the $100. Well done Tyler!!
With regard to overall standings we have Helen Murnane and Kenneth Hall(02) out in front with both having picked 86 winners and one game behind them are Paul Van Luxemborg and Natasha Watts with a further five people on 84.
Round 16 kicks off with Hawthorn v Collingwood. Hawks have a good chance against an injury riddled Collingwood team which has 15 players unavailable.
Essendon v Sydney. A big game for both sides. Essendon needs to win this game to remain in contention for a finals berth, whereas Sydney have now won their last 3 games and with a win can be 1 game out of the 8.
Gold Coast v Richmond. Gold Coast have hit rock bottom and Richmond have bounced back with a win.
Adelaide v Port. The big showdown and with both teams coming off a loss they are both desperate to be back in the winner’s circle. From previous encounters this can go either way.
Western Bulldogs v Geelong. Bulldogs had a great win against Port, however Geelong has a team dominated by stars.
Fremantle v West Coast. West Coast have won the last 8 derbys and are in sight of equalling the all-time Western Derby winning streak, however I’m sure Freo will really come in hard after their shock loss to Carlton and are trying to remain in the 8.
Carlton v Melbourne- 17th v 16th. Carlton had their best win of the season and can possibly make it 2 in a row. If the Demons lose, they will drop to 2nd last and there will be even more heat on the coach.
North Melbourne v St Kilda - Having won 4 out of 5 games, North are only a game out of the eight. This game is being played down in Tasmania. The Saints also weighing up their coaching options.
Giants v Brisbane – GWS are rebounding from a game they shouldn’t have lost if the score reviewer got it right. Brisbane have been playing consistent football, however this game will test them.
Good luck and thanks for the support!
