ITALY 2020
Italy Trip 2020
2020 Italian Study Tour Expression of Interest.
Following the very successful Italian Study Tour in 2018, I’m excited to announce that Keilor Downs College will be organising another Italy Trip for the September holidays in 2020.
An educational tour is remembered for a lifetime, it’s an immersive experience that opens students’ eyes and broadens their minds. Students return home with an enhanced intercultural understanding, increased self-awareness and emerging leadership skills.
We are hoping to visit Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan and Siena with day trips to Pisa, Verona and Lucca to provide students with an in depth understanding of the history and culture of Italy. The price of the tour depends on numbers, however I have been advised that for a tour such as this, will include breakfasts and dinners, some tours of the major landmarks, entrance fees to museums of interest in each city visited, and city taxes, the price will be approximately $5,500 plus spending money approximately $500.00 is adequate. We are happy to set up an account for any family wishing to pay by instalments. Drinks with meals and any other services are not included in the itinerary. Students need to have a current Australian passport with 6 months’ validity from re-entry date. Further details will be attached to the itinerary.
The school will need an $800 non-refundable deposit by Friday 9th August 2019. Students are asked to submit an expression of interest by Friday 31st May. A representative from World-strides will host a meeting for students and parents once we have sufficient numbers to proceed. College staff will accompany students who will be supervised at all times. If you are interested, forms can be picked up from the L.O.T.E Office and a meeting in early Term 4 will be announced once numbers are in.

Students’ comments from Italy Trip:
It was such an incredible experience and enjoyed every minute. Favorite moments, the gondola ride in Venice and I loved Florence, everything about it and it made me feel happy. It was an unforgettable trip and a once in a lifetime experience.
The Italian School Trip was an extraordinary and enriching experience. It was a once in a life time experience to discover Italy as I had learnt it in school and I was able to learn so much more. It's an extremely beautiful trip that I will remember for the rest of my life and an opportunity that should definitely not be passed up.
