Thank you from

Parents and Friends

Busy month with lots to thank for!

October was a busy month for Parents and Friends Network.   We had a lovely Ladies Day on on 18th October, helped make our teachers feel special on World Teachers Day on 25th.  We also want to thank the parents who took the time to respond to the P&F Survey.  See details of each of events below.

P&F Survey Response Feedback

Thank you to everyone who responded to the P&F Events Calendar Survey.  We had an incredible 90 responses!

91% of you told us you wanted and missed the school fete.  We’ve listened to your feedback and are excited to announce the School Fete is planned for a return in 2021.  Look out for Fete Committee member requests early next year.  The Fete is a huge logistical event involving many hours of planning so your help in many different capacities will be essential.

66% of respondents also supported an End of Year / Christmas event.  This new event, scheduled for Wednesday 18th December, has been put on the 2019 calendar on the P&F Committee’s request!  We know the kids have started rehearsing already and hope this will become an annual family event going forward.

We also received some feedback about the JSC Colour Run (use of prizes and fee) which we will pass on to the Junior School Council.

Where should the P&F fundraising monies go?  The majority of responses suggested putting these towards school facilities ranging from new play equipment and spaces, athletics track, shelter for the kiss and drop zone and garden maintenance.  Other suggestions included new sporting equipment and funding for incursions and extra curricular activities.  We will review these with School Council to come up with the main fundraising goal for 2020-2021.  You’ll be pleased to know that the P&F fundraising contributed $25,000 to the beautiful new Friendship area and the AV equipment for the recently refurbished multi-purpose room.

If you have any additional feedback, as always, please reach out to bps.parentsfriends@gmail.com

World Teachers Day

Thank you to all the parents who contributed to providing a lovely morning tea and sending beautiful messages for the special certificates.  The teachers looked like they really enjoyed the special treats and loved the messages put together.
