Principal's Report

End of Year Wrap

We are very quickly approaching the end of the school year. What a year it has been – in so many ways!

I try to avoid making any mention of school lock-downs in my communications, however it is important to acknowledge that after two years of such significant disruption, how successful this year has been. There have been challenges, and the way that the students, staff, and school community have navigated these and supported one another has been remarkable.

There are so many things that I am proud of and grateful for – school concerts, camps, Art4All, excursions, community events, the fantastic work in the classrooms, the community support, building enhancements, the efforts of our School Review and the overall daily pervasive positivity that greets everyone every day.

Farewell Year 6

This time of the year is particularly significant for our Year 6 students. They are that stage where they are saying, “Today is the last Thursday at FPS; Today is the last…”.

Year 6 started at FPS in the same year as I did. Together we have experienced change, challenges, and seven years of endearing memories. I would like to thank the Year 6 students for their contributions to the school over this time and we look forward to seeing you at future school events.

Wishing you an awesome night at Graduation next Monday!

Departing Families

As well as saying farewell to our Year 6 students, next Tuesday will be the last day as FPS parents for many of our families. There are families who have their youngest child leaving FPS next week, as well as families with younger students moving away from the area.

We thank all these families for their contributions to FPS over the years. Schools are supported in so many ways – beyond volunteering, we appreciate your presence around the school, messages of support, and efforts to make the school a better place. Now that we know we can host our community events, we look forward to seeing you in the years to come.

Thank You Staff

Thank you to all our staff for your efforts in making 2022 such a fruitful and enjoyable year. I am fortunate to work with colleagues who are so compassionate, caring, professional and fun in all that they do. We are very much a team at FPS, and the support that staff have given to the students is appreciated by everyone.

End of Year Assembly – Tuesday 20 December

Next Tuesday you are all invited to our End of Year Assembly, at 9am at the Fig Tree Courtyard.

At this assembly we officially farewell our Year 6 students  and celebrate the year’s achievements. We hope to see you there.
