Citizens of the Term 2023
Prep Citizen of the Term 2 2023
Congratulations Frankie!
Frankie is one of the kindest and most thoughtful students that you will meet. She has a heart of gold and the best sense of humour. Frankie’s big, bright smile lights up any room that she is in and her laugh makes everyone smile. Her positivity is infectious and her kindness makes everyone feel included and welcome. Myself and other teachers always notice her politeness and the respect she shows towards others through her words and actions.
Each day Frankie goes about her work diligently without ever making a fuss. She is super focussed and always works hard to do her very best. No matter what learning goal Frankie is working on, she is committed to striving to do her personal best each day and does not compare herself to others. Frankie feels great pride when she achieves her goals and is always supporting and encouraging her classmates to reach their goals. Frankie keeps a positive attitude and will try tricky things, even if at first she thinks it might be too hard. She consistently demonstrates our Learning Behaviours in all areas of her learning.
Frankie has also been known to be somewhat of an IT Expert in our classroom. During one particular lesson when students were learning how to sign in and use a new program on the iPads, Frankie was the person to troubleshoot a lot of problems, which was a big help to the students and her teacher! This example demonstrates Frankie’s genuine desire to help others and her ability to just get on with things and not make a fuss.
Whether it’s her Show and Tell which involves a real life frog or hearing about the antics she gets up to with her brothers Oliver and Archie, Frankie is forever making us all smile and laugh! Thank you for making our classroom and school such a wonderful place to be.
This award represents the school values and learning behaviours that Frankie upholds each and every day.
Congratulations Frankie for receiving the Foundation Citizen of the Term.

1/2 Citizen of the Term 2 2023
Congratulations Jackson!
There are so many ways that Jackson demonstrates our school values of Care, Respect, Excellence and Community towards our class and the broader school community. He is polite and completes small, thoughtful gestures such as holding the door open for others and saying thank you and please. When playing with his peers, Jackson has a good sense of fairness and ensures that games are inclusive and fun for all.
Jackson has proven himself to be a hard-working and enthusiastic student. He has approached every challenge with a ‘can do’ attitude and a smile on his face. He is passionate about his learning and enthusiastically embraces all opportunities to further develop his skills.
Jackson possess many desirable qualities of a good role model. He is a kind hearted friend who is always willing to offer a helping hand. He uses his own initiative to see what needs to be done around the classroom and can often be found putting away equipment without being asked. Congratulations, Jackson, we are all very proud of your achievements.

3/4 Citizen of the Term 2 2023
Congratulations Rubi!
I have had the pleasure of teaching Rubi for the second time in her 4 years at Ballarat North. She has always been a student who demonstrates our School Values and sets a fantastic example for others.
Rubi comes to school with a huge smile on her face. She greets everyone and then sets about her morning with purpose- knowing exactly what she needs on her table, ready for learning. She is always very organised in the mornings as well as throughout the school day.
Rubi tries hard in everything that she does. She is the best example of ‘Never Give Up’! Every day I can see her setting and achieving goals. She is a proud learner and always aims high. Rubi is always aware of what we are learning and what she can use to help her. She is organised and always checks with others if she needs help.
Rubi is extremely caring towards others. She displays this in her words she uses towards her friends and in her actions. Rubi is like a secret ninja- although she does this in the form of helping others. Sometimes students don’t even know that Rubi has quietly walked past and put their rubbish in the bin, put their pencil case away or dropped off their drink bottle. She never waits around to be noticed or praised, she is too busy on to the next person she can assist.
At play Rubi can be found with her soccer ball working on her great skills. She will always have a big smile on her face and lets anyone who would like to, join in. Rubi always demonstrates care and respect when interacting with her friends.
Rubi- you deserve this award so very much. You have grown a lot in the last year, and we all love that you are confident in our classroom. Thank you for always trying so hard in all that you do and being a great role model to others. Most of all thank you for being you! We are so, so lucky!
