Principal's Report
Dear Parents/Families,
Welcome back to another term!
As mentioned in the last newsletter, my name is Tegan Aquilina and I will be covering David for the term. I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with you and your young people during Term 3. You should all be proud of your child/ren and the community they are a part of here at BNPS. Staff and students have made me feel welcome from day one. If you see me in the yard please come and introduce yourself.
This term we have some new programs starting, focusing on student wellbeing. We are running an Art Therapy program and have staff from Federation University's Community Psychology Services working with some of our students and families. Along with these services, Mrs Morris will continue to support two days a week in her student wellbeing role.
Next week is our Book Fair, open times are in our Community News page. If you have a chance, please come in and have a look at the selection of books we have for sale.
Our Parent teacher student conferences are on Wednesday between 10am and 6pm. All year 3-6 conferences will be student led. If you need help making a booking please contact Katrina or Fiona in the Office.
Another special event we have coming up is Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 4th August. Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation and wear jeans and their school tops on this day. This is not a casual clothes day.
Lastly, I’d like to again congratulate Jai and Beau for their efforts in the State Cross Country in Melbourne last week. Both boys did really well, with Jai coming 72nd and Beau coming 67th.
Take care and stay warm!
Tegan
Acting Principal
