EDSC Big Freeze Event

13 June - Big Freeze 2023 - Student Report

Once again, EDSC was proud to make our contribution in supporting the Fight MND cause for 2023.

The Big Freeze took place on Tuesday 13 June as we had a group of staff and students who were willing to be brave and face the chilly conditions of being drenched by ice buckets, to raise money for this great cause!

As part of this fundraiser, we were lucky enough to have past EDSC student, Isaac Quaynor (Collingwood Football Player), visit us to show his support for the cause, and to let us in on how important this event is to him and his fellow team members. He shared tips and advice about his time here at EDSC and how people like Neil Daniher inspire him to be the best he can be, no matter the challenges.

Those who helped raise money were also lucky enough to have a meet and greet with Isaac as he wanted to congratulate the team on their efforts.

We were also honoured to have Terry Daniher join us on this day as he assisted us in the ice dunking process. Our College has had a close connection with Terry over the years and we appreciate his commitment and dedication in attending our Big Freeze events every year.

EDSC wants to say a big thank you to Ollie L, Oscar M, Liv O, Mia C, Poppi P, Le Anne C, Mr Mayes and Mr Basford who helped raise money to help support the FIGHT MND Foundation, with a special congratulations to Ollie L for raising over $1000 - something he should be very proud of!
