EDSC Success at the 2023 EMR Cross Country Championship!
Some of the Colleges best long-distance runners have advanced to the SSV State Finals after competing at the EMR Cross Country Championships held at the Yarra Valley Racecourse in late Term 2.
In tough track and weather conditions, the following students’ efforts were a highlight on the day:
- Krish came 3rd in the boys 1213 event in a time of 12:26.50 over the 3km course and his brother Kryshant came 6th in a time of 12:31.90.
- Yishen was second in the boys 16 event with a time of 18:05.99 over 5kms.
- Megan (17 girls) qualified for the next level of competition by finishing 3rd in a time of 13:49.84 over the 3km course.
- Flynn ran a time of 17:54.00 to finish 3rd in the boys 1720 event over the 5km course.
A special mention to the boys 1213 team of Kriish, Kryshant, Jonathan and Shih-Yuan who finished 3rd, a wonderful achievement!

The SSV State Finals will be held on Thursday 13 July at the Yarra Valley Racecourse – we wish our qualifying students the best of luck!
