Boarding School News

Mrs Kathryn Searle - Head of Boarding

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Welcome to Term 3!

On Sunday, we will open the Boarding House from 10:00am for the new term with all students expected to be in-house by 4:00pm.

I hope all boarders have had a wonderful break and enjoyed time with family.  We can’t wait to hear all about the Music Tour to Austria and Italy from four of our boarders.

Welcome to new boarders for Term 3:  Sophie and Draw in Year 7, Kelly and Annabelle in Year 8, and Sierra in Year 11 who will be here from Trafalgar Castle School in Canada.

During the holiday break our driveway retainer wall was repaired, and we received delivery of new outdoor chairs for the deck. Thank you to our Maintenance Team for always having our Boarding House cleaned and maintained ready for the beginning of each term.

As per the College's Uniform Policyplease ensure your daughter returns to boarding school ready with no fake tanning, no acrylic nails, no false eyelashes, one natural hair colour  and only one piercing in each ear lobe.  Please note, if your daughter is wearing pearl stud earrings to school, they must be the size of the pearls sold at the Uniform Shop.

I will be chaperoning the Cambridge Scholars’ Programme to the UK with Deputy Principal, Mrs Lakshmi Mohan, during weeks 3 and 4 of this term.  I will also be visiting the Northern New South Wales area in mid-August, and Barcaldine, Emerald, and Longreach the first week of September.  I look forward to catching up with current, past, and enrolled boarding families and Old Collegians while touring in Term 3.

Kind regards

Mrs Kathryn Searle
