Term 2 - That's a wrap!

Term Two has been full of fun and educational activities that our students have really enjoyed including:

·       Cross Country: congratulations to those students who came first in their age group: Emilia J, Jake E, Indy L, Tyler J, Urijah S and Poppy M. What a fantastic achievement! It was wonderful to see every student finish the course in good time.

·       Responsible Pet Ownership session: Kristy Wilkinson from Animal Welfare Victoria brought along her own dog, Ernie, to teach students about how to be a responsible pet owner and how to stay safe around our pets.

·       Winter Interschool Sports: The senior students have played several games of netball, softball and football against a number of schools this term including Katunga PS, St.Francis Nathalia and Cobram PS. We are all looking forward to the Lightning Premiership next term!

·       Aquamoves Swimming Program: For the first time, NPS went to Aquamoves in Shepparton for a one week swimming program. The instructors were engaging and informative and all students gave the program excellent reviews.

·       Dolly’s Dream Day: Do It For Dolly Day was a day dedicated to bringing our school community together and spreading kindness towards others. Students looked marvellous all dressed in blue and worked together with their buddies to make blue butterflies in Dolly’s honour.

·       Kindergarten Transition Activities: You may have noticed some articles in the Numurkah Leader describing the fun-filled activities students have done with our Bridie Knight Kinder buddies this term including studying and creating bugs and insects, an art project and making hand puppets.

·       Mother’s Day Morning Tea: What a fantastic turn out for our Morning Tea this year! Our Choir performed a song in honour of the special women in our lives and the scones were delicious. Thank you to the Junior School Councillors and other students who assisted on the day, and to our School Captain Grace and House Captain Will who wrote and delivered two poems dedicated to mothers and grandmothers.

A big thank you to everyone who helped to organise and run each of these activities this term. Let’s see what Term Three brings our way!
