Indigenous Education

It has been a wonderful term full of lots of learning about First Nations peoples. The students have done so many wonderful artworks and literature studies and exploration and have learnt so many amazing things!

We are pleased to see our school embedding and displaying Indigenous culture within our school environment. During Reconciliation Week the students did so many wonderful things including rock art. Here are a few photos of how wonderful their rocks are looking in the garden.

The student's wooden leaf, gum nut and blossom art they created is currently being put together to put on display as well. We are looking forward to sharing this with you when it is complete.

NAIDOC Week

Looking forward to Term 3, we have NAIDOC week during Week 1. NAIDOC week is actually within the school holidays. The theme for this year's NAIDOC Week is 'Four our elders'. Our students will be engaging in a range of different activities as well as researching local indigenous elders of importance. We are looking forward to you all getting to see what we get up to!

Opening the Doors Foundation Walk-a-thon

On Friday 4th August we will be having a walk-a-thon at school that raises money for First Nations students living in Victoria. The funds raised can help provide these students with school stationery or uniform.  The walk-a-thon is held on National Children's Day. The theme for Children's Day this year is Little Voices, Loud Futures. How are you going to bring a voice to First Nations students and walk together for a better future?

As a school, we will be having a walk-a-thon that raises money. Below I have attached our fundraiser page! There will be more information to come before the commencement of Term 3.
