Music

During Term 3, we were fortunate to have Mr Stephen Dogao as part of the Music team practice teaching Years 7, 8, 9 and Year 11 Music classes. His knowledge of music theory and high level performance skills on the drum kit and guitar engaged students during his time at Mater Dei.

Year 12  will undertake their HSC practical examination next week with a HSC Performance Evening held last night to allow students the opportunity to perform in front of a small audience of staff and students, due to COVID-19 restrictions. We wish Year 12 all the best for their upcoming Music exams.

This week, during the End of Course exam block, Year 11 Music are completing their end of Preliminary Practical Examination and we wish them well. All senior music students are to be commended on their perseverance, organisation and resilience demonstrated throughout the term as they have progressed to reach their final performance goals.

The Mater Dei Live and Loud lunch-time music concert was established this term with the Year 9 School of Rock class showcasing their talents. We look forward to more performances next term from elective Music classes.
