Congratulations to James Vassiliou from Year 11 and Nam Tran from Year 10 who were "commended" for their original songs that they entered into the UNLOCK'D Music Competition. There were over 110 entries from 42 different schools and the songs were judged by professional songwriters and performers.

James was interviewed as part of the competition outlining some of his processes.  https://twitter.com/ausguildmusic/status/1315801012754624513

Congratulations to these fantastic students.

GIGS ON THE SCREEN

It has been an amazing time watching the students’ artistic development occur over the last few months, and I have loved the privilege of presenting the videos to you each newsletter.

This fortnight I have great pleasure in presenting Georgia Foran and Talia Zamir (both of Year 10)performing Slipping Through my Fingers.

PERFORMANCES

Congratulations to all Ms Rogerson’s students who took part in an online Soiree on Thursday 19 November. It was incredible to see the work that the students had undertaken over the year, and to have worked hard to ensure that they had filmed themselves with their backing tracks as though they were performing live. I am so proud of the students and what they have achieved this year!

All junior school students are undertaking their classroom music performances starting this week. It is so pleasing to see the focus the students have for this task.

HIRE INSTRUMENTS

All students who have hired an instrument from school will require this instrument to be returned by Friday 4 December so that they can be carefully cleaned and serviced for the coming school year.

A reminder that the Music Centre will be closed each day by 4:30pm.
