IT’S ALL ABOUT ART !

Dear Parents,

Thank you to all those who have sent in their art stationery supplies.

Please note due to COVID safe practices, the students will be required to bring their own art smocks from home (an old shirt will suffice as long as it covers the student uniform) EVERY WEEK to art. These smocks cannot be stored and will need to come and go with the child each week.

I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce each of my student art leaders who will be involved in many ‘behind the scene’ art-based, school activities throughout the year…

My name is Alana Bartlett. I live in a family of 5, 6 if you count the dog. I am the oldest child. My other 2 siblings are currently in Grade 4 & Prep. My dog is deaf so I had to learn the correct hand signals. I will be 12 in February. I am in 6 Red, and am the art leader for 2022. As I am in grade 6 it is my last year at the school. My favourite colour is purple. My favourite food is a Mexican food called Enchiladas. My favourite lollies are eclairs. Most Fridays I make home-made pizzas for dinner. If I was to get a pet it would be a fennec fox, which is an exotic pet/animal. In my free time I like to skateboard, play Roblox, chat with my friends or sketch. According to almost everyone I know I am apparently quite artistic. I play basketball for the Knox All Stars and football for the Rowville Hawks.

My name is Lachlan O'Keefe I am 11 years old and I am in 6 Yellow. I like playing with Bentleigh my 12 week old dog. I play cricket and basketball and I love playing video games. In the future, I would like to be a dog sitter because I just absolutely adore dogs. Something interesting and weird about me is that I like garlic aioli and cheese sandwiches. This year I’d like to achieve the respect of my teachers and younger students.

My name is Keira Aponso and I am 11 years old. I enjoy creating art using acrylic paint and pencils. I have a younger sister in year 1 and my favourite flower is purple-orchids. I love spending time with my friends and family as well as cooking with my mum. I hope to be the best art leader I can be this year and to be a good leader. 

I am looking forward to working with these enthusiastic leaders and commencing our art program with all students next week.
