Now  you are  the body of         Christ and individually members of it.                                   1 Corinthians 12:27

Dear Parents/ Carers

Beginning of School Mass

Last Friday we gathered together for our beginning of school mass. Our Year 5 /6 children attended the Church and the rest of the school participated via live streaming provided by Brian. The children reverently participated in the ceremony by joining in responses and hymns. Students in classrooms received a blessing from their teachers at communion time. Our Year 6 leaders received a special blessing from Fr John, included below.

Spirit of God, you guide us and light our way. Bless our Year Six students as they take on the role as leaders of St Bede’s. Bless our community as we encourage and support them in their leadership role.

We make our prayer through Christ our Lord

Amen

Ash Wednesday

As Brian has mentioned, the Year 3/4 students will attend the Ash Wednesday mass and the Year 5/6 children will participate via a live stream feed. The Prep to two students will participate in a prayer service led by their teachers.

All students will receive the ashes on their forehead (in the form of a cross) distributed by class teachers.
