RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

First Communion

We held our final First Communion ceremony on Saturday, 27th November at 5:30pm.

It was an all girl event! Please see the photos above and below.

Thanks again to Father Kevin for leading all the First Communion celebrations and to the Year 4 teachers:

Mrs Jacqui Chalkley, Miss Hollie French, Mrs Carmel Brownhill for preparing the students. Also thank you to Miss Robyn Mustey and Mrs Helen Dee who prepared the students who attend other schools.

Graduation Mass

On Tuesday, 14th December our Year 6 students had their Graduation Mass. Due to COVID .... just their parents , teachers and their Year 5 classmates attended the Mass to help them celebrate.

After Communion, the Foundation Buddies came to the church and together they performed a liturgical movement to the Hymn:

'May God Be In My Mind'

Then the Year 6 students all passed on a Leadership candle to the Year 5 students

who will be our new school leaders in 2022.

We wish our Year 5 students all the best for their new roles next year!

We know that they will be excited and eager to take on new responsibilities within our school community.

Next Year, the sacraments will be administered at St Cecilia's in the following order:

If you know of any students from St Cecilia's school/ parish who wish to receive any of these sacraments, please tell them to contact either Helen Dee, Father Kevin or Jacqui Chalkley at the school before the end of Term 1 so that we can make appropriate arrangements.
