Dear Families,
What glorious weather we have had across these last few weeks. I hope that we are all able to find some time to get out and about with family and friends as we move to toward the end of summer.
Meet & Greet Conversations
(Continue this afternoon)
Thank you to all parents and carers who have made time to have a conversation about your child/ren and give further insights into the best way we can work with them at school.
These conversations continue this afternoon from 3:30pm. If you have been unable to make a time please email your class teacher as these meetings are a requirement.
School Closure Day
Our first SCHOOL CLOSURE DAY is on FRIDAY 4th MARCH.
Please ensure that this date is placed in your calendar. Camp Australia can not operate unless there are enough registrations. The cost of the day increases. For all details please contact Camp Australia.
Purpose of the Day:
The staff are currently engaged in ongoing Professional Learning around using feedback to best support student learning. The staff will be using the expertise of Catholic Education staff and our own team.

- Monday 31st October - Assessment Report Preparation (offsite)
- Monday 19th December - 2023 Handover Day (Student information discussion between this year and next year's teachers)
- Students last day for the year is December 16th
Prep 2023 -Open days
Our First Open Day for 2023 prospective families takes place tomorrow with others to take place across the term.
Tour Times: 9:15am and 10:15am
Student Representative Council
Congratulations to our students who have been chosen/ elected SRC reps for Semester One
I know that they will do their very best to represent their peers and our school in all meetings and activities.

Parent Education -Maths Information Session Year 1/2
Emma May our 1/2 Team Leader and School Maths Leader will lead our session this Friday(Online). Thanks to parents who have registered.
This will focus on addition strategies and ways to support your child at home.
Incursions and Excursions
Across this next few weeks the students will be involved in a Dance Incursion with Footsteps as part of their Performing Arts focus. This will help us to prepare for Harmony Day activities.
Next Thursday Year 5 students will attend Nazareth College as an opportunity to participate in activities at a Secondary College.
Website Update New Photos
On Monday photographers were at SJV to take a number of photos which we will use to refresh parts of our School Website. Not all students who had permission were chosen, nor will all photos be used on the website. The school will choose a selection.
RAPID ANTIGEN TESTS (RATs)
MACS have been informed us that the RAT testing will continue until the end of Term 1. We will send home a new box of RATS with each child when they arrive.
These tests are voluntary but strongly encouraged. We ask that your child test twice a week (Monday and Thursday if possible) , although you can choose the days that best suit your family.
MASKS
Even with the easing of restrictions from Saturday, masks are still mandated to be worn by all staff and students from Year 3-6 when inside at school.
Parish
A reminder to parents, on Friday 25th at 9.30am there will be trees being cut around the Parish area. Please be careful
