School Photos

Photo day is Tuesday 1 March.

Please return the envelope to the front office by Tuesday 22 February.

If you are not purchasing photos, you still need to return your envelope.

Family envelopes, for a photo of siblings here at school, are available from the office on request.

Scholastic Bookclub

Scholastic catalogues were sent home with students on Monday this week.

Scholastic apps are available to download for both Apple and Android devices to make ordering through the Loop system easier.

There is the option to mark your purchases as GIFTS. When these books arrive you will be contacted directly, rather than books going home with students.

Please also note that some titles offered, differ from the Christian ethos followed by the school.

Orders need to be placed via LOOP by 9.00am Friday 18 February.  Please note the shorter time frame for ordering.

Happy reading everyone!

LLL School Banking

Lutheran Laypeople's League is a charitable financial institution which provides a simple, fee-free savings account as a tool for students to help them pursue their short and long term savings goals.

Open a Children's Savings Account before 31 March and the LLL will kickstart your child's savings with the first $25.00.

Visit lll.org.au/child to open an account, using the promotional code GET25, or collect a form from the school office.

Canteen

The canteen is open for lunch only on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Check the QKR! app for availabilities as some items on the published menu may not be available at the beginning of term.

QKR! orders must be placed by 8:45am (or even the night before), with separate orders for each child.

Growing Faith at Home

This week’s GFH title is “Do to others as you would like them to do to you”. Not always easy, especially when the other person is someone who is hard for you to like. There are some powerful Caring Conversations for you share with your family.

Talk about a time someone showed kindness and forgiveness toward you.

Tell about a time you showed kindness and forgiveness toward someone.

What makes it easy or difficult to show forgiveness to someone else?

These conversations can be eye opening, especially for young people who are constantly learning from you! Some life situations can be hard, but forgiveness is powerful, even life changing! You might like to consider some practical Creative Response or Service ideas too.

God bless your week!

Little Lambs Playgroup

I pray that you all enjoyed some precious family time over the Summer.

Little Lambs Playgroup for 2022 is currently 'under construction'. Our community values this time of connection with families with little ones.

If this is something you feel passionate about, I would love to hear from you. There are plenty of resources ready to go thanks to the creativity, generosity and love of previous Little Lambs team leaders.

Please contact me via email or chat with me sometime about this valuable opportunity.

Will keep you posted on Little Lamb’s next chapter. Watch this space!

QKR! App for Online Orders

Online payments (uniform/canteen/school fees etc.) are available to all Good Shepherd families and is our preferred method of payment.

This app is free and easy to use and accepts all debit/credit cards.

Installation steps are as follows:

Medication

Parents are advised that topical medications will no longer be issued at school (e.g. stingoes, savlon etc.).

If your child requires medication (e.g. epi pens, antihistamines) at school, it is a requirement for parents to provide the school with items in chemist labelled packaging.
