Year 12 Mitchell River Excursion

On Wednesday 24th July, the Year 12 Outdoor and Environmental Studies class participated in an excursion along the Mitchell River.  The students, Miss Turnor and Mr Cassidy did a small bushwalk in the Mitchell River National Park before conducting a range of tests to measure the water and soil quality as well as the biodiversity and number of introduced species present at four sites along the river.  They will use the information they collected on this excursion to compile a report on the health of the Mitchell River environment.
