Solos Night a Great Success

The Music Centre recently ran two successful solo evenings featuring over 60 soloists. All players are to be congratulated for their efforts and commitment in learning a musical item that was played on their own, or accompanied by our wonderful accompanist Julie Lockhart. On the night they introduced themselves and announced their item. Of course there were a few nerves from some but they were all brave in performing to the best of their ability. The support from their peers was overwhelming as they all applauded each other with enthusiasm after each item. Due to both nights being such a success we will definitely add these to the calendar each year, as it gave all players an opportunity to play on their own and not in an ensemble. A big thank you to all music staff for preparing the students.
