Introducing our Campus Principals & Assistant Principals

John Sciacca, McGuire Campus Principal

Hello, my name is John Sciacca and I am the proud Campus Principal of the McGuire Campus of Greater Shepparton Secondary College. I have always taught and been in Principal class around the region, having worked at all the four previous secondary colleges during my 32 years with the Department of Education & Training. I have also been the Principal at Nathalia Secondary College and Cobram Secondary College over the last 10 years. It is great to be back in Shepparton and be a part of making the Greater Shepparton Secondary College the best in the State! John Sciacca

Stephen Bolton, Mooroopna Campus Principal

My name is Stephen Bolton and I am the Campus Principal at the Mooroopna Campus. I began my teaching career in 1985 at a school in the Wimmera-Mallee teaching Mathematics. After 6 years in the Wimmera Mallee I had the equivalent of the modern gap year and travelled overseas for all of 1991. Unfortunately during this year I caught the travel bug and have been looking for new destinations ever since. I then transferred to Kyabram Secondary College for the start of the 1992 school year and spent 15 and a half years there in a variety of roles before accepting an Assistant Principal’s role at Mooroopna Secondary College. After 12 and a half years there, the last 3 as Principal, I then moved into my current role as Mooroopna Campus Principal at GSSC. I have enjoyed every minute of my 34 years working in the Victorian State Education system. Outside school I have a passion for sport. I am a keen cyclist and still play cricket in the local area. I am looking forward to helping GSSC become a school that is a leader in State education. Stephen Bolton

Ken Murray, Wanganui Campus Principal

I feel very privileged to be the Wanganui Campus Principal.  I have spent the past 37 years at Wanganui Park SC, which is in fact  my entire career as an educator. This is my 10th year in the role of principal, and I am passionate about doing all that I can to make GSSC a school that we are all proud of.  We have established a terrific base on which to build on, and I look forward to working with all members of our school community in the year ahead.

Kirsten Tozer - Wanganui Campus

Hello and welcome to the 2020 school year. I have had the pleasure of teaching science at Mooroopna Secondary College since graduating from university. In my time at Mooroopna, I have lead various teams and spent three years in the Acting Assistant Principal role, before taking some time away from teaching to raise our young family. Most recently, I have worked within what was known as the Learning Design Team. This team focused on the development of the new curriculum and elective program for this year, as well as our new instructional model and learning mentor program. Hence, I  am most excited to be joining the team at the Wanganui campus in this period of transformation. Throughout the week, I have really enjoyed meeting our students in the yard, watching them settle into the Wanganui environment and develop new friendships. I am looking forward to a productive and rewarding year with our students and staff, as well as meeting more of our wider school community as the year progresses.  Kirsten Tozer
