Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope this newsletter finds you well and that you had a wonderful Mother's Day celebration last week with your loved ones. As a Catholic school community, we recognise the importance of this special day as we honour and appreciate the mothers and mother figures who have dedicated their lives to raising and nurturing their children. Our own celebration last Friday with a Liturgy, morning tea and open classroom visits was a wonderful community event with hundreds of family members joining us.

If you didn’t get a chance to watch the delightful Mother’s Day story that featured some of our students on Studio10 (Channel 10) click on the link below. Please note it expires after 7 days so I recommend you download the video.

Last week we were also blessed with magnificent weather on the day of our Athletics Carnival. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their physical abilities and demonstrate their team spirit. Thank you to those who attended and volunteered their time, sharing in the community spirit in such positive ways. A big shout out to Ms Puskaric who organised and led another highly successful sporting event at OLF! We are so lucky to have you Ms Puskaric!

Inquiry and Review

Next week, on Thursday 25th May and Friday 26th May, our school will undergo a strategic improvement process in collaboration with an SCS Inquiry and Review team. This process will involve a comprehensive analysis of our current operations, goals, data and challenges, with a focus on identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

The Inquiry and Review team brings a wealth of experience and expertise in strategic planning, and we are confident that their guidance and support will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goals. Throughout the process, we will be engaging with many stakeholders- teachers, staff, students, parents and parish to gather input to ensure that our strategic plan reflects the needs and priorities of our school and community. We look forward to the insights and recommendations that will emerge from this process and are committed to implementing the strategies and actions that will enable us to better serve our stakeholders and achieve our mission.

Parent Representative  Meeting

Our next Parent Rep meeting will be held on Friday 9th June at 2:15pm in the library.  All are welcome. Please come along and contribute to the life of the school and fundraising events.

Finally, in recognition of National Families Week this week, I finish with a prayer to pray with your families

Heavenly Father,
Please bless our family with your love and protect us from harm.
Give us grace to forgive others, strength to overcome the difficulties we face, and keep us together when situations or people try to pull us apart.
May your family unit be a model to us always of what it means to be truly family.
Amen

It promises to be a busy few weeks ahead!

God Bless
