We are learning to explore different angles around us.

VOCABULARY

Angles: The amount of turn between two lines around their common point (the vertex). It is measured in degrees. 

Acute angle: Acute angles measure less than 90 degrees

Obtuse angle: Right angles measure 90 degrees.

Right angle: Obtuse angles measure more than 90 degrees.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Look around your home and have a go at identifying types of angles. (Right angle, Acute angle and Obtuse angle). 

List the differences between each angle and have a go at drawing an example for each.
