Colac Division Soccer Championships
Well done to all the students from Sacred Heart who played in the Colac Division Soccer Championships last Friday. Unfortunately weather conditions were not ideal and the oval became very muddy with the rain. Sacred Heart Red were the overall winners on the day, and will now compete in the Greater Western Regional Event on Thursday 15th June in Ballarat. We wish the following players all the best – Dash Bannan. Zaiden Finn, Finley Geary, Max Mitchell, Roy Scott, Kade Genua, Leon Whitehouse, Fletcher Tomkins, Riley Sheppard, Bodhi Baker and Joseph Coventry. A big thank you to the parents and grandparents who supported the day.
Colac Division Cross Country
Congratulations to all the students who represented Sacred Heart yesterday in the Colac Division Cross Country at the Colac Golf Club. The following students will represent Colac at the Greater Western Cross Country event next Monday 29th May at Deakin University in Warrnambool. Children will travel by bus to this event. The bus will leave Sacred Heart at 8:15am and return at approximately 2:00pm.

Girls Football Gala Day
Good luck to the following girls who will be representing Sacred Heart in the Colac Division Girls Football Gala Day - Millie Cooper, Indiana Hillman, Blossom Ikwegbue, Olivia Widdicombe, Hannah Balcombe, Sybella Byrne, Matilda Gibson, Olivia Horner, Astin McCrimmon, Alayna Simon, Layla Harty, Mia Stinchcombe, Maddison Desmond, Stella Foley, Scarlett Gibson, Shelby Tzortzatos, Taylah Williamson, Scarlett Smith and Jemma Howat.
This event will take place this Friday 26th May at Colac Central Reserve. The event will start at 11:30am and finish at approximately 2:15pm. Children will travel by bus to this event. Girls will need to wear their sports uniform (football jumpers will be supplied). They will also need snacks, fruit, drink bottle and lunch (no lunch orders). Please keep a watch on the weather report and pack spare clothes and a towel.
We do need umpires on the day, so if you any parents can help out on the day please indicate on PAM.

1. Which sport is your favourite to play and why? Netball is my favourite sport because it is fun to play.
2. What is your best sporting moment? My best sporting moment was when I scored a goal in netball.
3. Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a good athlete? I can run very fast.
4. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sports because they are fun to play.
5. Who is your favourite sports person? Lionel Messi, who is a famous Argentine soccer player. Why are they your favourite? Because he is a good soccer player and he is the captain of the Argentina national team.
6. What is your favourite sporting team? AFL Brisbane Lions.

1. Which sport is your favourite to play and why? Football is my favourite sport because it gets me moving around and it gives me a lot of exercise.
2. What is your best sporting moment? My best sporting moment was when I took a good mark and then kicked the football through for a goal.
3. Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a good athlete? One of the strengths I have that makes me a good athlete is my body strength.
4. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sports because it is fun and you get to run around a lot. Sport also gets you thinking about tactics.
5. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is my coach Angus. Why are they your favourite? He is my favourite sporting person because he teaches me a lot about football that is helping me to become a better player.
6. What is your favourite sporting team? Geelong Cats and Otway District Football Teams

1. Which sport is your favourite to play and why? My favourite sport is netball because there are lots of skills to learn in the game and it is fun.
2. What is your best sporting moment? My best sporting moment was when my netball team made the finals and just missed out on playing in the Grandfinal.
3. Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a good athlete? The skills I have that make me a good athlete are my fast reflexes and I am tall.
4. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because I like to be competitive.
5. Who is your favourite sports person? Liz Watson and Kate Moloney Why are they your favourite? They are my favourite players in the Vixen netball team.
6. What is your favourite sporting team? The Melbourne Vixens
