Family Maths Night
On Monday night it was terrific to see so many families represented at our Family Maths Night. We had approximately thirty students represented and determination and excitement to solve problems and complete challenges was at a peak level. I loved seeing students and their families working together at school, and most importantly, having fun completing the tasks. Dion, the World of Maths facilitator was very impressed by everyone’s enthusiasm and levels of persistence.
School Photos
Our School Photo Day is to be held on Wednesday 29 May. Photo envelopes have been sent home with students today, parents please check your child’s bag.
Parents, please remember these important points on photo day:
- Send your child to school with a completed envelope (even if not placing an order or ordering online). Photo envelopes can be returned to school before photo day and will then be handed out on the day.
- Each student must have their own separate envelope with them, at the time that their photo is being taken, even if payment is included in a brother or sisters envelope
- Students must be in full school uniform for photo day.
If anyone would like a Family photograph, Family envelopes can be picked up from the office before photo day, and brought back to school on or before photo day.
Sorry, no late envelopes can be accepted at the school after photo day. If you require further photos after the day, you need to contact MSP Photography directly on 5333 5577.
Junior School Council Shop (re-run)
During term 2 on Fridays from 2.30 until 3.15, the Junior School Council will be selling nude food containers for bargain prices and our school cook books for $10 each. A shop will set up in the gallery and both cash and eftpos transactions are welcome. The cook books would make a wonderful mother’s day, birthday or thank-you gift.
Woolworths Earn & Learn (re-run)
Once again we are participating in the Woolworths Earn & Learn program. Between 1 May and 25 June 2019, collect as many stickers as you can, stick them on the sticker sheets (available at the office) and deposit them in the collection bin at the office. By collecting as many stickers as you can and getting friends and family to collect also, we can claim brand new equipment for our school. Thank you.
Lorraine Lea Linen (re-run)
Margy Allen, our local Lorraine Lea linen consultant, has kindly offered to donate 10% of sales from a catalogue party hosted by the school as part of her contribution to our 2019 fete.
If you are interested and would like to place an order, the current catalogue can be accessed at the school office and orders will need to be made before the end of May.
