NAPLAN

This week we see the students in year 3 and year 5 complete the NAPLAN assessments.  From all reports the students have handled them with a committed and confident approach.  A big thank you to the teachers for enabling and administering a calm and smooth NAPLAN week and being flexible with a changed timetable.  The tests continue today and finish tomorrow.  Catch up tests will be offered on Friday to any student who was unable to sit them.

World of Maths

World of Maths was a huge success. Students, teachers and parents had the opportunity to explore different maths challenges, and the Blue Hall was buzzing with the brain strain from some of the tasks. It was a great occasion to share this experience with a large range of the school community and we look forward to similar times in the future.  Thank you to Liz and Sarah for organising the event as part of our Maths Curriculum.

Cross Country

Congratulations to the students who have been selected to represent our school at the Eureka division cross country on Friday.  Well done for achieving a qualifying time good enough to make it and we hope you have a wonderful time competing on Friday.  The weather is meant to be awesome!!

Study Tour & Education Conference

Finally, Dale and Kylie have included some pictures of their study tour of Canada.  This is such a well-earned opportunity for our school leaders and it will be wonderful to hear all about their experiences when they get back.  The pictures are of the education conference they are currently attending and the picturesque place it is being held.  I think they are mingling with some very influential educational leaders from across the world.
