Remote Learning Support

The Mathematics Department would like to thank you for supporting your child in their remote learning experience over the last few weeks. It can be quite daunting accessing the different materials and keeping up with everything, but as a KLA we have been very impressed. Students have been working independently as well as helping each other, this reinforces their understanding and makes Mornington Secondary College such a valued learning community.

One of the online platforms we have been using is Mathspace, teachers can assign adaptive tasks through Mathspace to students and they receive immediate feedback on how they are progressing. Lesson plans, videos & hints are embedded into the program. The video link below gives a great explanation on how students can benefit from the program.

Our Senior students studying General & Further Mathematics and Mathematical Methods all now have access to VCE units 1, 2, 3 & 4 through Edrolo. Students should now be using this resource for explicit instruction and viewing worked examples.
