Bunnings BBQ a big success

On 21 April a special fundraising BBQ was run by the school at Bunnings Taylors Lakes. It was a wonderful opportunity to raise funds for school projects and helpers from many sections of our school community assisted across the day. We opened for business at 8.30am and sold our final sausage at 4.30pm.

The purpose of the fundraising was to provide financial assistance to some key areas that the school was involved in. Our total at the end of the day was in excess of $900.00 and we have been able to distribute money to:

  • The construction costs of the school’s new ANZAC Memorial at the front of the school
  • The school’s INTERACT Club for community-based projects and
  • The purchase of sports equipment for the school camp.

Special thanks to all the helpers their enthusiasm and sacrifice of personal time in enabling this event to be so successful.

A further BBQ will be held at Bunnings Sunshine on 16 June and any assistance would be appreciated.
