Year 12 History Revolutions Visit to Mao Please, Chinatown

On the afternoon of Monday 30 April, the History Revolutions class visited Chinatown for a meal at Mao Please restaurant. The students were able to enjoy their meal whilst taking in the colourful propaganda posters depicting Mao’s Long March (1934-1936), the establishment of the People’s Republic of China in 1949 and Chinese Communist Party badges and uniform.

After their meal, the class walked to Sun Yat Sen’s statue located near the Chinese Museum. Sun Yat Sen (1866-1925) was the founding father of the Chinese Republic.
