Donations

We have recently received two very generous donations from the local community.  100F Holdings LTD donated 70 office desk chairs.  The office chairs have replaced a number of older office chairs around the school; these are being used as teacher desk chairs, staff room chairs and meeting room chairs.

The Rotary Club of Bundoora donated $1,000 to help fund the new Maths Garden at Bundoora Campus.  These funds will purchase a variety of hands-on and engaging maths activities to further enhance our Mathematics program across the school.

The Concord School community is very grateful for these kind and thoughtful donations.

Compass – Do you need help with logging in??

We continue to place more information on Compass for parents/carers and would like to have our whole school community using this communication tool.  We are here to assist you if you are having difficulties in accessing Compass and logging in.  Please phone the front office at either campus for assistance if required.  Remember there is a Compass iOS and Android APP that you can download; search for 'Compass School Manager' in the store.  Please keep in mind when viewing the APP it does look slightly different to the website and some of the functions are limited.

Easter Egg Guessing Competition

This term the FFA have organised an Easter Egg guessing competition.  This is free event for all students.  Students will have an opportunity to guess the number of eggs in the container; There is a container for primary and secondary.   The FFA will announce the winners at the whole school assembly on Friday 31st March.

Planning Week

Last week was planning week.  Teachers in each learning were released from their classroom teaching for one day; specialist teachers have provided an alternate program for the students on this day.  This has allowed teachers to meet with their team leader and the schools’ teaching and learning coaches for one full day this week to plan the content that they will teach during term 2 based on the Victorian Curriculum.

Planning in learning area teams at Concord is to vital to ensure staff have common curriculum knowledge and practices, and most importantly, that they plan to best support and challenge each individual students learning.

Whole School Assembly

On Friday 31st March, (last day of term) at 9.15am in the school gym we will have our term one whole school assembly.   Our whole school assemblies are a celebration of the term, highlighting a presentation from each learning area.  All parents and carers are welcome to attend our whole school assemblies.

Last Day of Term

Friday 31st March is the last day of term one; school will finish half an hour earlier than usual, at 2.30pm.  Please remember to collect your child 30 minutes earlier from the bus on this day.

I wish everyone a very happy and safe school holidays; I hope the Easter Bunny comes to you all!
