Sports Stars Visit St Fidelis Primary School

On Monday 18 November, Year 5/6 students and a few Year 1 - 4 students were visited by Melbourne Renegade Big Bash women players, Josephine Dooley and Erica Kershaw. Both players are the wicket keepers for the Renegades. Josie and Erica spoke to our students about their pathway towards playing for the Renegades and the qualities that make good cricketers. The players answered the many questions the students presented and provided tickets,  'hair' hat and cape to wear to a game.

On Wednesday 20 November our Year 5/6 netball teams and a few Year 3/4 students had the privilege of attending a netball clinic conducted by the Australian Netball Team's vice-captain, Liz Watson (past St Fidelis student and daughter of our principal, Manuela).

At the conclusion of the clinic, Liz spoke to the Year 5/6 students, talking about her days here at St Fidelis and her pathway to the Australian Netball Team. Liz also brought in her recent Commonwealth Games and World Championship silver medals to show the students.
