Year 7 Camp

Lots of fun and challenges!

From Monday 18 to Wednesday 20 February, sixty seven Year 7 students attended the Peer Support Camp at Nepean Adventure Centre in Douglas Park.  Students were accompanied by eight Year 11 Peer Support Leaders and four staff members.

The Year 7 students had a ball!  They eagerly participated in the variety of activities on offer including archery, zorb balling, high ropes, the giant swing, the dangling duo, canoeing, and raft building.

Despite some light showers, we were very lucky with the weather and the camp instructors at Nepean kept the students entertained in the evening with ‘Minute to Win It’ style challenges and ‘ghost’ stories around the camp fire.  They were fantastic.

Most importantly, the camp allowed students to make new friendships and build positive relationships with each other and the older students.  They met new and exciting challenges, participated in team building activities and cheered each other on.  All students represented Cowra High School respectfully and responsibly.

Year 7 wishes to thank Mrs Dunk, Mr Hughes, Mr Carter, Maegan Carroll, Ky Johnston, Sonny Eastwood, Mitchell Dale, Jacob Walker, Lucy Sutherland, Sean Smith and Marcus O’Connor.  We would also like to thank Pat and Graham from Cowra Bus Service.
