BISSA

Cross Country 2018

On Monday 14th May, 16 of our elite runners travelled to Narrandera for the BISSA cross country. The sandy course around parts of the pony club and racetrack proved to be very challenging, however, all of our runners completed the course and are to be congratulated on their efforts. Our 12's and 13's boys and girls ran a 3 km course while the 14's and 15's boys and 14 - 17 Year girls covered a 4km distance. The 16-18 Year boys covered a tougher 6km track and had to run sections of the course twice. Kildare students competed against 12 other regional Catholic and Independent schools. Thank you to Mr Toole and Mr Holbrook who supported students at the cross country.

Asha Murphy in Year 10 was our best performing runner. She came fifth in the 16 Year girls championship event running the 4km course in approximately 18 minutes. Kildare’s next best placed runner was Kobe Drummond in Year 7 who came seventh in the 13 Years boys.
