Girls Bill Turner Soccer

Kildare played its first game of the Bill Turner Cup Football/Soccer knockout competition for 2018 against Wagga Wagga Christian College. Gracie Goodyer opened the scoring early in the game with a sensational attacking play, leaving her 1 on 1 with the opposition keeper and finishing strongly. Christian College were quick to bounce back and the girls went to the half at 1 all. Ella Harriott showed her amazing ball skill and speed, breaking the opposition's defence to quickly score 2 goals giving us a comfortable lead. Full of confidence, the girls played the remainder of the half in the opposition's defensive third and had plenty of scoring opportunities. Gracie Goodyer finished the last minutes of the game scoring her 2nd goal. Kildare went on to win the game 4-1 over Christian College.

All round, the girls did an amazing job and should be proud of their efforts.

Kildare now have to face a tough opponent in Wagga Wagga High School in the next round.

Good luck Girls!
