Mission for Newsletter

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in Australia is observed in the week between Ascension and Pentecost - “Your right hand, O Lord, glorious in power” (cf. Exodus 15:6)

During this week of Christian prayer, let us reflect upon the way we overcome differences – not only in our religious beliefs, but in our dealings with one another:

How do I uphold the value of other people’s beliefs?

How can I encourage others to feel welcome to share their story?

How does my life reflect the values that Jesus promoted (justice, respect for all people)?

How am I being called to rejoice in my life?

Eternal God,

You created us in your image, and so each one of us is sacred in your eyes.

Through the guidance of your Holy Spirit, help us to lives as brothers and sisters as we work towards greater compassion, dignity and peace in our world.

We make our prayer through Jesus, your Son.

Amen
