Subject Selection Expo Evening - Year 8 and Year 10

Year 8 

We are holding a Subject Selection Information Expo Evening for all Year 8 students. Details are:

  • Date:              Tuesday, 6th August 2019
  • Time:             5.00 pm
  • Where:           School Gymnasium

It is mandatory for ALL Year 8 students to attend this event with at least one parent/carer.

The purpose of the evening is to:

  • Issue students with their Subject Information Booklets
  • Issue students with their individual webcode which is required to make their subject selections online through edval
  • Provide information on NESA requirements for the Stage 5 from the Principal (including N-Award process)
  • Provide advice on making smart subject choices

Year 8 Year Advisers, the Careers Adviser, Head Teachers and subject/classroom teachers will be available on the night to answer questions and provide further information on specific subjects and pathways.   We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 6th August at 5.00 pm. 

Year 10

We are holding a Subject Selection Information Expo Evening for all Year 10 students. Details are:

  • Date:              Tuesday, 6th August 2019
  • Time:             6.15 pm
  • Where:           School Gymnasium

It is mandatory for ALL Year 10 students to attend this event with at least one parent/carer (even if students are considering not continuing onto Year 11).

The purpose of the evening is to:

  • Issue students with their Subject Information Booklets
  • Issue students with their individual webcode which is required to make their subject selections online through edval
  • Provide information on NESA requirements for the HSC from the Principal (including the ATAR and N-Award process)
  • Provide advice on making smart subject choices
  • Discuss options for senior pathways
  • Explain the requirements and options available for students considering not continuing schooling after Year 10 and the attainment of the Record of School Achievement (RoSA)

Year 10 Year Advisers, the Careers Adviser, Transition/Senior Coordinators, Head Teachers and subject/classroom teachers will be available on the night to answer questions and provide further information on specific subjects and pathways.    We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 6th August at 6.15pm.

Year 10 interviews

Each student and their parents have been given a date and time to attend an interview in the following week (August 12th-16th), where they will meet with a teacher to discuss, guide and assist them through their senior subject choices/pathway. (Students will be required to attend their interview/appointment with their parents and will not have to attend school and regular classes on their allocated interview day).
