GREEN DAY

11th November

Dear Parents,

On Friday the 11th of November the

Year 6 Environment Leaders will be holding a Green Day.

This is to promote being an environmentally-friendly

school and to raise awareness of the environment.

If your child hasn’t already talked to you about this,

we are encouraging the students to bring a nude food lunch

(a lunch with no wrappers or packaging in it), ride or walk to school, and wear a touch of green. An example of a touch of green would be something small like a ribbon or a hat. If there is nothing green that you can find in the house,

please don’t go to the trouble of buying anything.

If riding or walking to school is a problem for your family, why not drop your child off a block away and walk with them the rest of the way to school.

Thanks for contributing,

Saffron and Chiara

STAR OF THE SEA

JUST and SIMPLE CHRISTMAS FAIR

Each year the senior students host a Just and Simple Fair to support a number of Justice and Outreach organisations in the local community. The students and staff from St James visit the Fair and are able to complete some Christmas Shopping as well supporting the Stall Holders.

The Fair is on Wednesday November 23rd from 12 noon until 2pm.  This may clash with our  swimming program but STAR have kindly offered  to stay open later to accommodate the younger students.

The St James Community always looks forward to supporting the Star of the Sea students and their efforts.
