Instagram page- spectrum.souls

My next recommendation is @spectrum.souls

Nadija, creator of the Instagram page, is an Australian mum of 2 children with dual diagnosis of ADHD and ASD. She is an advocate who shares her children’s diagnosis story in the hope of shedding light on early signs and how to keep pushing for answers.

Spectrum souls is an outlet to share her journey with other parents and carers, including tips and support.

Her post that I connected with was related to conversation starters to use with children instead of ‘how was your day?’:

Other post gems:

  • Emotional regulation activities: 13th May 2022
  • 5 signs that your child is suffering from anxiety: 10th May 2022
  • 9 phrases for promoting a growth mindset in perfectionist children: 4th May 2022
  • How to respond to kids misbehaviours (simply) for children of any ability: 4th April 2022
  • Sensory red flags you may miss: 3rd February 2022

Plus so many more!

Shed Men catch up at school: Friday June 3 at 6.30pm

What is Shed Men?

All Dads and Male care givers of the school are invited to Shed Men. This is not an official St Paul school event, but rather a casual gathering of St Paul Dads on the occasional Friday evening to network, mingle and do what men do.  We are planning this year to hold a couple of Shed Men BBQs each term.

Shed Men is currently held at the School Shed near the Kiss n Drop.  We come together and have a laugh and share a yarn with other Dads from the school over a BBQ and a refreshment. BYO a few non-alcoholic drinks, something for yourself to cook on the BBQ and maybe a chair.

It would be great to meet some of the new Dads and Male care givers to the school and equally great to reunite with some of the old Shed Men Dads too!  Please come along and give it a try. All St Paul Dads and Male care givers are welcome!
